MDI SAFEnet Joins GSA FIPS 201 Approved Products List with Identity One’s FIPSlink

Certification provides federal agencies with a GSA-tested path to PIV, CAC, PIV-I, and TWIC authentication on the Monitor Dynamics (MDI) SAFEnet platform, validated through Identity One’s FIPSlink.

ATLANTA, Georgia and SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Sept. 2, 2026: Identity One, a developer of FIPS 201-based identity credential and validation solutions for the U.S. federal government, and Monitor Dynamics (MDI), a manufacturer of unified security management systems for government and military facilities, today announced that MDI SAFEnet 6.216 has been placed on the U.S. General Services Administration’s FIPS 201 Approved Products List (APL) under the PACS 13.01 topology, validated with the Identity One FIPSlink Access validation system for MDI SAFEnet 6.216.

SAFEnet 6.216 is listed as APL #10199 in the PACS Infrastructure category. The paired Identity One FIPSlink Access validation system is listed as APL #10200. Together, they form a GSA-tested end-to-end solution under the 13.01 topology, certifying the PACS infrastructure, validation system, and PIV PACS reader as an integrated whole.

For federal agencies, the practical effect is that SAFEnet can authenticate PIV, CAC, PIV-I, and TWIC credentials at the door in a configuration GSA has tested end-to-end, meeting HSPD-12 and FIPS 201 obligations without custom integration work or a one-off approval effort.
